About Above & Beyond
In this exhibition, the work is not a destination, but a point of departure. Above & Beyond brings together eleven artists who inhabit the vital space where material reality gives way to something more profound. This collection is a study of transcendence: the act of rising above a medium's physical properties and reaching beyond the visible to capture the essence of the human spirit.
Across these ten distinct practices, a shared language of transformation emerges. Whether through the textured weight of sculpture or the fluid energy of a painting, these works function as "visual events" rather than static objects. They reject the silence of a flat surface, choosing instead to occupy a landscape of rhythm, light, and depth.
